Crowning Glory

Loons calling as day fluidly slips into night. The vividness of the purple, red & orange of the sky deepening into dark & sultry tones of the evening.

a gentle ripple & a wisp of the hair... the only signs of the gentle breeze that is blowing.

stillness. peace.

the lake shimmers a reflection of the crowning glory of God's creation - the sky.

what is above, so is below.

sweet Saviour, may my heart be as equal a reflection of Your glorious beauty.

amen.

the eternal now

today I am infinitely grateful for the eternal now. a tense not truly present in the English language, but which rules the heavenlies.

that God in His perfection allows for us in our imperfection to keep trying at it.

trying and failing, but still trying.

a concept as new to me as the soon to be fresh buds of spring. something you experience every year, yet just as wondrous every time.

who is to know the Creator's heart? who can grasp the depth of His love?

i am thankful that in this my 35th year, He has given me new opportunities.

not finished yet, keep trying.

new year's resolutions faded now, i am left with the day to day struggle of the stumble and the picking back up again. maybe this time, falling less. maybe not...still trying.

and so here i am again. just a girl who longs to be loved by her Creator, and yet struggling to grasp that love that He offers so freely.

Jesus, help me to see just a little more clearly. help me see Your love given so completely. thank you for the eternal now, and the newness of each morning.

 fresh. unmarred. yet.
